Coasters

Oak coasters made using a combination of hand and power tools. Produced under the guidance of Glasgow based woodworker Calum Bettison (Hatchworks).
The original plan was to make a pot stand but I decided to split the material into four coasters. They made great Christmas gifts.
Grooves cut into the oak using a palm router. The spacing was controlled using a simple jig.
Surfaces were sanded with an orbital sander and finished with sand paper.
Coasters were finished with food safe OSMO varnish.
